Payment & Returns Policy

Scope

This policy covers purchases made on my website by consumers. For business purchases, please contact the studio.

Payment

Artworks (Shop)

  • Checkout is via PayPal. You can pay with a card at PayPal checkout.

  • Currency: EUR (€).

  • I am not VAT-registered in Ireland. Prices shown are final from my side.

Sessions (Acuity bookings)

  • Payments are taken separately via Stripe at the time of booking.

Delivery and Collection (Artworks)

  • Standard option: Free local collection from my studio in Woodquay, Galway, Ireland (by appointment).

  • Courier options: Tracked and insured courier with professional packaging by a specialist is available. Courier costs are paid by the buyer at checkout or by invoice.

  • Dispatch time: Usually within 5–10 working days, or after an exhibition ends on the stated date.

  • Packaging: Archival materials or rigid, protective packaging depending on the piece.

  • Risk: Risk transfers on delivery to you (or to your nominated person or carrier if you arrange collection).

Right of Withdrawal (EU/EEA, ready-made artworks bought online)

  • You may cancel within 14 days of delivery and return within a further 14 days.

Refunds

  • I refund the artwork price and the least-expensive standard delivery I offered.

    • My standard delivery is free local collection, so the refundable delivery amount is €0 if you chose a paid courier.

  • I may withhold the refund until I receive the work back or you provide proof of return.

Return Postage (change-of-mind)

  • For change-of-mind returns, the buyer pays return shipping.

  • Use a tracked and insured courier and original (or equivalent) packaging.

Condition on Return

  • Return the artwork in original condition and packaging. You are responsible for any loss in value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to inspect the work. Works returned damaged or inadequately packed may be subject to a deduction.

Exemptions (no withdrawal right)

  • Commissions / Soul Paintings.

  • Custom framing or any work made or altered to your specification once work has begun.

  • Time-specific services already fully provided at your request within the 14-day period.

Damaged or Faulty on Arrival (Artworks)

  • If your order arrives damaged or not as described, please [contact the studio here] within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the packaging and artwork.

  • I will arrange a repair, replacement, or refund. For damaged/faulty items, I cover return shipping.

Customs and Taxes (non-Ireland deliveries)

  • Your country may charge import duties, VAT, or handling fees on delivery. These are set by your local customs authority and are the buyer’s responsibility.

  • I must declare the actual value on customs forms.

Sessions — Cancellations and Refunds

Standard policy

  • You can reschedule or cancel free of charge up to 48 hours before your session.

  • Inside 48 hours, the fee is non-refundable. I will do my best to reschedule if possible, but it is not guaranteed.

  • Sessions cannot be gifted or transferred to another person.

Right of withdrawal for services

  • By EU rules, you have 14 days to withdraw from distance service contracts unless you ask me to start within that 14-day period.

  • When you book a session within 14 days, you will be asked to confirm you request the service to begin and understand you will lose your withdrawal right once the session has been provided.
