What’s Included:
Framing is carried out by The FrameShop, specialists in presenting fine art with care and expertise.

Most framed paper works include:

  • A wooden frame (e.g. light oak, walnut or similar), selected to suit the artwork

  • A single or double mount designed to reveal the hand-pulled paper edges where suitable

  • UV-protective glass (standard) to protect against fading and light damage

  • 70% non-reflective clarity glass to reduce glare while preserving texture and colour

  • Optional upgrades to higher clarity or custom finishes available at additional cost

Due to the use of glass, this service is only available for delivery or collection within Ireland. If you're outside Ireland and would like guidance on best framing practices in your region, please get in touch.

    • This framing service is only available for original works on paper by Finbar McHugh that are currently available to purchase through this website. It does not apply to previously sold pieces or any artworks purchased elsewhere.

      Ireland only:
      Due to the risk of damage, framed paper pieces (with glass) are only available for delivery within the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.

      For international buyers:
      We do not ship glass internationally. If you’re purchasing from outside Ireland, the artwork will be shipped unframed. However, we’re happy to offer guidance on best framing practices for your location — get in touch here.

  • Framing requires an additional 15 business days before your artwork is ready to ship or collect.

    • Studio Collection: You’re welcome to collect your framed artwork from Galway City. The studio will contact you directly to arrange a collection time.

    • Ireland Delivery: Framed works (with glass) are securely packaged, insured, and shipped via Cara Bay within the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.

    • International Orders: Due to the risk of damage, we do not ship framed works with glass internationally. If you are purchasing from outside Ireland, your artwork will be shipped unframed. We’re happy to offer guidance on best framing options for your location — get in touch here.

    • Add your selected artwork from the shop to your cart — if framing is available for that piece, it will be clearly stated on the product page
